Lee Roy Bonham (1933 - 2009)



Lee Roy Bonham, a Christian, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at the age of 76.
Funeral: Noon Tuesday at Airport Freeway Church of Christ, 210 W. Airport Freeway, Euless. Interment: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, with military honors. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Lee was born March 12, 1933, in Erick, Okla., to Albert and Avil Bonham. He grew up in Delhi, Okla., and graduated from Delhi High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Okla. Lee was co-owner of Triangle Machine & Manufacturing in Euless for over 38 years.
Lee served as an elder of the Church of Christ for 37 years. He was known for his wisdom, compassion and generosity by all who knew him. He was a dedicated Christian who followed the Bible and loved the Lord, his wife, his family and friends in that order. Lee was very proud to be a member of the Kiwanis Club of Euless and even laughed when the Fort Worth Star-Telegram wrote an article on the club because there were only three members left and he was one of them.
Survivors: His loving wife and partner for over 57 years, Lawon Bonham; daughter, Vickie Bonham; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Patti Bonham; grandson and wife, Chad and Patty Bonham; granddaughters, Danielle Bonham and Kristie Bonham; great-grandsons, Hunter Bonham and Dominik Hennessey; great-granddaughter, Hannah Hennessey; sister, Ruby Guy of Abilene; brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Darlene Bonham of Granbury; brother and sister-in-law, B.J. and Frances Bonham of Atlanta, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Lowell Ambrose of Lawton, Okla.; brother and sister-in-law, A.J. and Pat Bonham of Albuquerque, N.M.; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
